The first Footprints Family Day Nursery was founded on a commitment to deliver superlative standards of care and education underpinned by family values. It was opened by Margaret Huntington in 2002 on the site of one of the town's best-known preparatory schools, St. Bride's on Cumberland Street.
The second Footprints Day Nursery opened its doors at Dean Valley, Bollington, in January 2011. Facilities, on-going investment, a superb care and teaching team, and a tradition of educational achievement are cornerstones of the Footprints approach.
However, what really defines our unique style and helps differentiate us from other providers is the way we do things, our attitudes to our staff, children and their parents, the pride we take in helping children develop and achieve.
Today, Margaret Huntington, her son Dr James Huntington and granddaughter Elizabeth lead the day-to-day organisation management and development of Footprints Family Day Nurseries, ensuring the values-led approach that underpins Footprints' Day nurseries is consistently maintained.
Both my boys are very confident socially and have developed all-round skills which have greatly eased the transition into school.
