Footprints Shows How it's Done
Thursday 6th October was the first time Footprints had invited parents of Pre School children to an informed evening of reading and literacy.
Parents were shown how to help their children to gain the basic skills of reading and how to encourage children to form their letters correctly. There was also a sections on phonics and the correct pronunciation of the lower case letters.
Sand, shaving foam, variety of games, electronic toys, interactive whiteboard were all ideas set out for parents to see and practise their skills and to help their children at home.
The staff of both Macclesfield and Bollington nurseries attended with Faith Robyn, the Deputy Nursery Manager at Bollington, leading the presentation.
Parents were excited by the way we encourage children with the more formal side to their learning. "An extremely informative and entertaining evening" was just one of several extremely positive comments.
